(a) Giving notice of interception. — A person who has knowledge that an investigative or law-enforcement officer has been authorized or has applied for authorization under this chapter to intercept wire, oral or electronic communications may not give notice or attempt to give notice of an authorized interception or pending application for authorization for interception to any other person in order to obstruct, impede or prevent such interception. (b) Penalties. — A person who violates the provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall be guilty of a class F felony and be fined not more than $10,000.
