Extended jurisdiction — Juvenile delinquency, when offense committed before age 18 but arrest

(a) If a person commits an offense before age 18 and is arrested after reaching age 18, but before reaching age 21, the Family Court
retains jurisdiction in the same manner as if the person had not reached age 18, and all provisions and rights applicable to a person who
is under 18 apply to the person.
(b) Nothing in this section precludes prosecuting a person to whom this section applies as an adult under §§ 921 and 1010 of this title.
