Whenever an order is made under this subchapter for the making of any index or indices, the prothonotary in the county in which such records are kept shall make the index or indices or cause the same to be made pursuant to this subchapter and such order. The prothonotary may procure all books necessary for such purpose, the cost of which shall be paid by the prothonotary. §§ 1987-1989.
