Disability History and Awareness Month

The following month shall be commemorated in this State by appropriate ceremonies: the month of October, known as "Disability
History and Awareness Month". In commemorating such month, public schools are encouraged to informally offer instruction and events
highlighting disability history and awareness during October of each year which may include offering guest speakers, supplementing
existing lesson plans, holding assemblies, and sponsoring essay or art projects.
