(a) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t , inclusive, do not apply to: (1) A mineral interest of the United States or an Indian tribe, except to the extent permitted by federal law. (2) A mineral interest of this state or an agency or political subdivision of this state, except to the extent permitted by state law other than sections 47-33m to 47-33t , inclusive. (b) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t , inclusive, do not affect water rights. (c) Sections 47-33m to 47-33t , inclusive, do not affect the meaning of the terms “minerals”, “mineral interest”, or “mineral estate” for purposes other than said sections.
