(a) Release of a report of genetic testing for parentage is controlled by the law of this state other than sections 46b-450 to 46b-553 , inclusive. (b) A person who intentionally releases an identifiable specimen of another person collected for genetic testing under sections 46b-497 to 46b-512 , inclusive, for a purpose not relevant to a proceeding regarding parentage, without a court order or written permission of the person who furnished the specimen, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.
