(a) Unless displaced by particular provisions of sections 34-300 to 34-399 , inclusive, the principles of law and equity supplement said sections. (b) If an obligation to pay interest arises under sections 34-300 to 34-399 , inclusive, and the rate is not specified, the rate is that specified in section 37-1 .
