(a) The Labor Department shall, on a quarterly basis, furnish to the national directory of new hires extracts of the wage and claim information contained in the records required and maintained by the Labor Commissioner pursuant to this chapter and to the extent required by applicable provisions of state and federal law. (b) Not later than three business days after the date information regarding a newly hired employee is entered into the state directory of new hires, the Labor Department shall furnish such information to the national directory of new hires established under the Welfare Reform Act, 42 USC 653.
