(a) As used in this section, “space heater” means any heating device having a barometric fed fuel control, which has a fuel supply tank located less than forty-two inches from the center of the burner, adapted for burning kerosene, range oil or No. 1 fuel oil. On and after November 1, 1966, no person shall sell, offer for sale, install, use or allow to be used a space heater in any building used in whole or in part as a place of human habitation. (b) Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars.
