(a) Whenever the term “State Police Commissioner” or “Commissioner of State Police” is used or referred to in the general statutes relating to the duties and responsibilities of said commissioner, it shall be deemed to mean or refer to the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection. (b) Whenever the term “State Police Department” is used or referred to in the general statutes relating to the duties and responsibilities of said department, it shall be deemed to mean or refer to the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection.
