(a) Any firearm, ammunition or deadly weapon owned by the Department of Correction shall be stored in a secure location on Department of Correction property. (b) The Commissioner of Correction shall adopt regulations, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 54, to implement the provisions of this section including, but not limited to, defining “secure location”.
