(1) All money
payable to and collected by the department through the division shall be transmitted to the state
treasurer. The state treasurer shall credit the same to the general fund except for the money
required by this article 32 to be deposited in the racing cash fund.
(2) The commission shall maintain an office within the state and shall keep detailed
records of all its meetings and of all the business transacted and of all the collections and
disbursements. Publications of the commission circulated in quantity outside the executive
branch shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of section 24-1-136.
(3) The attorney general shall provide legal services for the division and the commission
at the request of the executive director, the director, or the commission. The attorney general
shall make reasonable efforts to ensure that there is continuity in the legal services provided and
that the attorneys providing legal services to the division and the commission have expertise in
the field.
