Appointment and compensation of appraisers

(1) As soon as the official
plan has been prepared and adopted pursuant to section 37-50-107 (3) and is on file in the office
of the district, upon petition of the district, the board may, if the official plan includes the
utilization of special improvement bonds paid by special assessments upon the property
benefitted within the district, appoint a board of appraisers consisting of three members. The
qualifications of the appraisers and all proceedings before them shall be in accordance with the
provisions of the law pertaining to the duties and qualifications of appraisers under the
conservancy law of this state as set forth in article 4 of this title.
(2) Appraisers appointed under this section shall receive compensation set by the board
for the performance of their duties.
