Election on bonds

For the purpose of constructing a drainage system and
necessary works for the drainage district and acquiring the necessary property and rights-of-way
therefor, of paying the first year's interest on the bonds authorized in this article, and of
otherwise carrying out the provisions of this article, the board of directors of the drainage district
may estimate and determine the amount of money necessary to be raised for such purposes and
is empowered to call a special election, at which election shall be submitted to the qualified
taxpaying electors of the drainage district the question of whether or not the bonds of said
district shall be issued in the amount so determined.
