Duties and powers of register

The register of the board shall have the
custody of the records of the board, receive and file all proposals for the construction of
irrigation works to reclaim lands selected under the provisions of this article, prepare and keep
for public inspection maps and plats on a scale of two inches to the mile of all lands selected,
receive entries of settlers on these lands and hear or receive the final proof of their reclamation
under the rules and regulations prescribed by the state board of land commissioners, and do all
work required by the board in carrying out the provisions of this article. He shall have authority
to administer oaths whenever necessary in the performance of his duties as register and secretary
of the board.
