(1) In 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 the state department of
human services shall include an overview of the BHA's progress toward addressing the
behavioral health-care provider workforce shortage during the hearings held prior to the regular
session of the general assembly under the "State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and
Transparent (SMART) Government Act", part 2 of article 7 of title 2.
(2) On or before January 1, 2023, and on or before each January 1 thereafter, the
community college system shall submit a report to the BHA. At a minimum, the report must
include a summary of the behavioral health career pathway and its implementation, including an
accounting of how money was used to expand or support training, education, and certifications
in the behavioral health career pathway to increase employment in the behavioral health sector.
(3) The state department, the BHA, and any person who receives money from the BHA
shall comply with the compliance, reporting, record-keeping, and program evaluation
requirements established by the office of state planning and budgeting and the state controller in
accordance with section 24-75-226 (5).
