Testing - required displays - demonstrations of compliance

(1) 
Manufacturers of natural-gas-fueled water heaters described by section 25-7-1503 (1)(a) shall
test each applicable model for sale in Colorado in accordance with the south coast air quality
management district protocol "Nitrogen Oxides Emissions Compliance Testing for Natural Gas-
Fired Water Heaters and Small Boilers", as amended.
(2) Manufacturers of fan-type central furnaces described by section 25-7-1503 (1)(c)
shall test each applicable model for sale in Colorado in accordance with the south coast air
quality management district method 100.1 "Instrumental Analyzer Procedures for Continuous
Gaseous Emission Sampling", as amended.
(3) Unless a product appears in a public database of products maintained by a state or
federal agency or by an environmental nonprofit organization, which database requires
compliance with emission standards that are as demanding or more demanding than the emission
standards described in this part 15, manufacturers of products described in section 25-7-1503 (1)
shall demonstrate compliance with this part 15 for each model by either:
(a) Affixing a permanent mark, label, or tag to the product and packaging at the time of
sale or installation that confirms compliance with such emission standards or compliance with
equivalent emission standards; or
(b) Submitting a certification to the executive director that demonstrates compliance
with emission standards required by a state or federal agency, which emission standards are as
demanding or more demanding than the emission standards described in this part 15.
