Colorado Code § 25-5-801

As used in this part 8, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Natural swimming area" means a designated portion of a natural or impounded body
of water in which the designated portion is devoted to swimming, recreative bathing, or wading
and for which an individual is charged a fee for the use of such area for such purposes.
Appurtenances used in connection with the natural swimming area shall also be included.
(2) "Swimming area" means a designated body of water of such volume and depth that
one or more persons can swim in it and which is used for the purpose of swimming, recreative
bathing, or wading and includes natural swimming areas and swimming pools.
(3) "Swimming pool" means a body of water, other than a natural swimming area,
maintained exclusively for swimming, recreative bathing, or wading and includes appurtenances
used in connection with the swimming pool.
