Colorado Code § 25-32-103

As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) Repealed.
(2) "Department" means the department of public health and environment.
(3) "Poison control services" shall include the following services provided by an entity
certified by the American association of poison control centers or its successor organization:
(a) Twenty-four-hour toll-free telephone service dedicated to disseminating information
on prevention of poisoning and the care and treatment of individuals exposed to poisonous
substances;
(b) Dissemination of poison information by persons who are trained in poison control
education, and the prevention, triage, and treatment of poisoning and who meet the criteria
established by and are certified by the American association of poison control centers, or its
successor organization; and
(c) Supervision of poison control centers by a person who meets the criteria established
by the American association of poison control centers, or its successor organization, and who
shall be available twenty-four hours each day for consultation.
