Colorado Code § 25-3-307

Building requirements

No hospital buildings shall be erected or constructed
until the plans and specifications have been made therefor and adopted by the board of public
hospital trustees and bids advertised for according to law as for other county public buildings.
Such hospital may be in more than one unit or set of buildings within the same town or city, or in
separate towns or cities, or within adjacent counties, and, if in adjacent counties, upon approval
of the respective boards of county commissioners.
