Colorado Code § 25-3-100.5

As used in this article 3, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Acute treatment unit" means a facility or a distinct part of a facility for short-term
psychiatric care, which may include treatment for substance use disorders, that provides a total,
twenty-four-hour, therapeutically planned and professionally staffed environment for persons
who do not require inpatient hospitalization but need more intense and individual services than
are available on an outpatient basis, such as crisis management and stabilization services.
(2) "Department" means the department of public health and environment.
(3) "Heart attack database" means a national registry designed for heart attack data.
(4) "Joint commission" means an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits and
certifies health-care organizations and programs in the United States, or its successor entity.
(5) "PCI center" means a hospital that performs percutaneous coronary intervention
(PCI), commonly known as coronary angioplasty, for acute myocardial infarction.
(6) "STEMI" means ST-elevation myocardial infarction.
