Colorado Code § 24-75-201.7

Enforcement of state spending restriction - punitive or exemplary

damages - property tax relief fund - creation. Any punitive or exemplary damages awarded to
any party to a lawsuit brought to enforce the restriction on state spending as set forth in section
24-75-201.1 shall be deposited and credited to the property tax relief fund, which is hereby
created in the state treasury. All moneys in the fund at the end of any fiscal year shall remain in
the fund and shall not be transferred or credited to the state general fund or to any other state
fund. All interest derived from the deposit and investment of moneys in the fund shall be
credited to the fund. Moneys in said fund shall be used only in such manner as the general
assembly deems appropriate as to provide property tax relief throughout the state and shall never
be available for appropriation for any other state purpose.
