Cooperation between state agencies

In furtherance of the purposes of this
part 12 and in order to contribute to the economy of state government, it is the intent of the
general assembly that there be close cooperation among the department of personnel, the
division of correctional industries in the department of corrections, and any other agency of this
state from which procurement of products or services is required under any law of this state. The
committee, the division of correctional industries, and any other similar agency of this state are
authorized to enter into such agreements, cooperative working relationships, or other
arrangements as may be determined to be necessary for effective coordination and efficient
realization of the objectives of this part 12 and any other similar procurement law of this state.
The department of personnel may secure, directly from any agency, division, or department of
this state, any information which is necessary to enable it to carry out the provisions of this part
12.
