Open in Lexace · Ask the AI about this section
The university shall include a classical,
philosophical, normal, scientific, law, physical sciences, and preparatory department and such
other departments, with courses of instruction and elective studies, as the board of regents may
determine. The board has authority to confer such degrees and grant such diplomas and other
marks of distinction as are usually conferred and granted by other universities. Nothing in this
section shall be construed to require the regents to establish the several departments until such
time as in their judgment the wants and necessities of the people require it. Nothing in this
section shall be construed to limit the authority of the Colorado commission on higher education
to direct the board of regents to discontinue an academic or vocational degree program area
pursuant to section 23-1-107 (2).
