Commission directive - nursing programs

(1) The general assembly finds
that Colorado is facing a shortage of nurses. It is determined by the general assembly that
because nurses are crucial and integral to the health and welfare of the people of Colorado, it is
therefore in the public interest to enhance educational opportunities for individuals pursuing a
career in nursing.
(2) The commission shall evaluate and implement two-year educational programs for
professional registered nursing. The commission shall adopt any necessary policies and rules for
the implementation of a two-year program for professional registered nursing.
