Subject-matter jurisdiction

(1) Except as provided in subsection (2) of
this section, parts 1 to 4 of this article apply to, and the court has jurisdiction over, guardianship
and related proceedings for individuals domiciled or present in this state, protective proceedings
for individuals domiciled in or having property located in this state, and property coming into the
control of a guardian or conservator who is subject to the laws of this state. Such jurisdiction is
subject to the provisions of section 19-1-104 (4) and (5), C.R.S., with respect to guardianships
for children under the "Colorado Children's Code".
(2) In matters concerning adults, article 14.5 of this title shall apply and shall supersede
the terms of subsection (1) of this section.
