Fees of the clerk of court of appeals - equal justice fee collection

(1) (a) 
Within the time allowed or fixed for transmission of the record, the appellant shall pay to the
clerk of the court of appeals a docket fee of two hundred twenty-three dollars.
(b) The docket fee for the appellee shall be one hundred forty-eight dollars to be paid
upon the entry of appearance of the appellee.
(2) (a) Each fee collected pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of this section shall
be transmitted to the state treasurer and divided as follows:
(I) One hundred fifty dollars shall be deposited in the supreme court library fund created
pursuant to section 13-2-120;
(II) Five dollars shall be deposited in the judicial stabilization cash fund created in
section 13-32-101 (6); and
(III) Sixty-eight dollars shall be deposited in the justice center cash fund created in
section 13-32-101 (7)(a).
(b) Each fee collected pursuant to paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of this section shall be
transmitted to the state treasurer and divided as follows:
(I) Seventy-five dollars shall be deposited in the supreme court library fund created
pursuant to section 13-2-120;
(II) Five dollars shall be deposited in the judicial stabilization cash fund created in
section 13-32-101 (6); and
(III) Sixty-eight dollars shall be deposited in the justice center cash fund created in
section 13-32-101 (7)(a).
(3) Beginning January 1, 2025, the clerk of the court of appeals shall collect the equal
justice fee on filings specified in subsections (1)(a) and (1)(b) of this section on behalf of the
equal justice authority and transmit the equal justice fee in the amount of thirty dollars in the
manner specified in section 13-5.7-205 (2).
