Renewal of license

(1) A license issued pursuant to this article 295 is
subject to the renewal, expiration, reinstatement, and delinquency fee provisions specified in
section 12-20-202 (1) and (2). Any person whose license has expired shall be subject to the
penalties provided in this article 295 or section 12-20-202 (1).
(2) A person who is not engaged as a psychiatric technician in the state shall not be
required to pay a renewal fee for so long as the person does not so practice, but shall notify the
board of the person's inactive status in writing. Prior to resumption of the practice as a
psychiatric technician, the person shall be required to notify the board and remit a renewal fee
for the current annual period. After a five-year period in an inactive status, the license may be
renewed only by complying with the provisions in this article 295 relating to the issuance of an
original license.
