(1) Nothing in this article 285 authorizes a physical therapist to perform any of the following acts: (a) Practice of medicine, surgery, or any other form of healing except as authorized by the provisions of this article 285; or (b) Use of roentgen rays and radioactive materials for therapeutic purposes; the use of electricity for surgical purposes; or the diagnosis of disease. (2) Nothing in this section prevents a physical therapist from making a physical therapy diagnosis within the physical therapist's scope of practice.
