(1) Repealed. (2) A manufacturer or wholesaler shall furnish prescription drugs only to a board- registered outlet or practitioner authorized by law to prescribe the drugs. Before furnishing prescription drugs to a person or entity not known to the manufacturer or wholesaler, the manufacturer or wholesaler shall affirmatively verify that the person or entity is legally authorized to receive the prescription drugs by contacting the board. (3) A manufacturer or wholesaler may furnish prescription drugs to a hospital pharmacy receiving area if a pharmacist or authorized receiving agent signs, at the time of delivery, a receipt showing the type and quantity of the prescription drug received. The pharmacist or authorized receiving agent shall report any discrepancy between the receipt and the type and quantity of the prescription drug actually received to the delivering manufacturer or wholesaler by the next business day after the delivery to the pharmacy receiving area. (4) Repealed.
