As used in this part 6, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) "Board" means the state board of licensed professional counselor examiners, created
in section 12-245-602.
(1.5) "Clinical supervision" means supervision provided by a licensed professional
counselor supervisor, licensed psychologist, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed
clinical social worker, or licensed addiction counselor; that is not administrative in nature; and
that may include a collaborative relationship that promotes the education, growth, and
development of a licensed professional counselor applicant and provides for the evaluation of the
applicant's clinical performance and competency.
(2) "Licensed professional counselor" means a professional counselor who practices
professional counseling and who is licensed pursuant to this part 6.
(2.5) "Licensed professional counselor supervisor" means a licensed professional
counselor who has received education and training in the clinical supervision of mental health
professionals as determined by the board.
(3) "School or college" means any university or other institution of higher education
offering a full-time graduate course of study in professional counseling approved by appropriate
national organizations accrediting professional counselor education programs or a substantially
equivalent program approved by the board.
