Colorado Code § 12-220-301

Persons entitled to practice dentistry, dental therapy, or dental hygiene

(1) It is unlawful for any person to practice dentistry, dental therapy, or dental hygiene
in this state except those:
(a) Who are duly licensed as dentists, dental therapists, or dental hygienists pursuant to
this article 220;
(b) Who are designated by this article 220 as dental assistants, but only to the extent of
the procedures authorized by this article 220 and the rules adopted by the board.
