(1) Based upon the appropriation made and
subject to the approval of the executive director of the department of regulatory agencies, the
director shall establish and adjust fees that the director is authorized by law to collect so that the
revenue generated from the fees approximates its direct and indirect costs; except that fees must
not exceed the amount necessary to administer this article 170.
(2) The natural medicine facilitator cash fund, referred to in this section as the "fund", is
created in the state treasury. The fund consists of fees credited to the fund pursuant to this article
170 and any other money that the general assembly may appropriate or transfer to the fund.
(3) The state treasurer shall credit all interest and income derived from the deposit and
investment of money in the fund to the fund.
(4) Money in the fund is continuously appropriated to the department for the
administration of this article 170.
