Colorado Code § 10-18-102

Applicability and scope

(1) Except as otherwise specifically provided, this
article shall apply to:
(a) All medicare supplement policies and subscriber contracts delivered or issued for
delivery in this state on or after July 1, 1989; and
(b) All certificates issued under group medicare supplement policies or subscriber
contracts, which certificates have been delivered or issued for delivery in this state on or after
July 1, 1989.
(2) The provisions of this article shall not apply to a policy or contract for employees,
former employees, or any combination of employees or former employees or to a policy or
contract for members, former members, or any combination of members and former members of
labor organizations, which policy or contract is established by one or more employers or labor
organizations or the trustees of a fund established by one or more employers or labor
organizations or any combination of such employers, labor organizations, or trustees.
(3) The provisions of this article shall not apply to insurance policies or health-care
benefit plans, including group conversion policies, provided to medicare eligible persons, which
policies are not marketed as or held out to be medicare supplement policies or benefit plans.
