Welfare and Institutions Code

A county board of supervisors may designate an existing local voluntary commission, board or council in order to carry out the purposes of this article. The commission shall either be a commission whose duties are primarily related to services for children, with special emphasis upon child abuse and neglect prevention and intervention services, or whose duties relate to human services.
