The authority shall keep written records of all examinations and of the conclusions predicated thereon and of all orders concerning the disposition or treatment of every person subject to its control. After five years from the date on which the jurisdiction of the authority over a ward is terminated the authority may destroy such records. For the purposes of this section âdestroyâ means destroy or dispose of for the purpose of destruction.
