As used in this chapter the following terms have the following meanings: (a) “Public offenses” means public offenses as that term is defined in the Penal Code. (b) “Court” includes any official authorized to impose sentence for a public offense. (c) “Youth Authority,” “Authority,” “authority,” or “division” means the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Facilities. (d) “Board” or “board” means the Board of Parole Hearings, until January 1, 2007, at which time “board” shall refer to the body created to hear juvenile parole matters under the jurisdiction of the Director of the Division of Juvenile Justice in the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. (e) The masculine pronoun includes the feminine.
