(a) (1) There is in the County Health Services Fund, created pursuant to Section 16803, the Rural Health Services Account. (2) For purposes of this chapter, “account” means the account created by paragraph (1). (b) All money appropriated for the purposes of this chapter shall be deposited in the account. (c) The department shall administer moneys deposited in the account on an accrual basis, and notwithstanding any other provision of law, except as provided in this chapter, those moneys shall not be transferred to any other fund or account except for purposes of investment, as provided in Article 4 (commencing with Section 16470) of Chapter 3 of Part 2 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Government Code.
