(a) Medi-Cal services for beneficiaries who are eligible for services under the California Childrenâs Services Act (Article 5 (commencing with Section 123800) of Chapter 3 of Part 2 of Division 106 of the Health and Safety Code) as well as the Medi-Cal program shall be subject to prior authorization by the director. (b) Claims for payment of prior authorized services shall be reviewed by postpayment audit conducted by the department, and shall not be subject to prepayment review under the California Childrenâs Services Act prior to submission to the Medi-Cal fiscal intermediary. (c) The California Childrenâs Services program may require all applicants who are potentially eligible for cash grant public assistance to apply for Medi-Cal eligibility prior to becoming eligible for funded services.
