A member of the governing body may be removed at the request of the entity that nominated the member. The entity that nominated a member may request removal of that member for any of the following reasons: (a) Any of the causes listed in Section 14087.964. (b) The member no longer meets the qualifications for office or the criteria applied by the nominating entity in selecting the member as its nominee.
