The negotiator provided for in Section 14082 shall serve in such capacity for the 1982â83 fiscal year, after which his or her functions shall be assumed by the California Medical Assistance Commission. Commencing on July 1, 1983, any reference in this article or in Article 2.8 (commencing with Section 14087.5), and Article 2.91 (commencing with Section 14089) of this chapter to the negotiator shall be deemed to be references to the California Medical Assistance Commission. As of July 1, 1983, the negotiator shall serve as the executive director of the commission.
