The executive director of the Corrections Standards Authority shall convene an executive steering committee to review and make recommendations regarding the Interstate Compact for Juveniles and whether permanent membership in the compact would be the most effective and prudent means by which California can achieve the purpose set forth in Section 1400 compared to other alternatives. The Corrections Standards Authority shall present the executive steering committeeâs final report, including recommendations for legislative action, if necessary, to the appropriate committees of the Legislature by January 1, 2011. The report shall be concise and may be produced and submitted solely in electronic format.
