Family child care providers have the right to form, join, and participate in the activities of provider organizations of their own choosing. Family child care providers also have the right to refuse to join or participate in the activities of provider organizations. This chapter does not change the rights of family child care providers to represent themselves individually in their relations with the state, agencies or departments of the state, contractors of the state, parents, or others, or their rights to speak to and petition the government with respect to all aspects of the stateâs early care and education program or any other topic.
