Upon the annexation of the petitioning district to the annexing district, the board of the annexing district shall file with the Secretary of State a certificate listing: (a) The names of the annexing district and the petitioning district. (b) The effective date of the annexation and of the dissolution of the petitioning district. (c) The county or counties in which the two districts are located, and a description of the annexed land, or reference to a map showing the boundaries of such annexed land, which map shall be attached to the certificate, or reference to the county recorderâs office where a description of such boundaries has been recorded. If the order annexing the petitioning district contains all of the information required to be in the certificate, the board may file a copy of the order in lieu of the certificate.
