âGeneral district electionâ means the election held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd-numbered year, after the organization of the district, at which directors for the district shall be elected to fill the offices of the directors whose terms of office shall then expire, in accordance with the provisions of this division and the Uniform District Election Law. The election shall be called and conducted and the results canvassed, returned, and declared pursuant to the provisions of the Uniform District Election Law.
