This section provides an alternative procedure for forming an improvement district within the district as follows: (a) The district may form one or more improvement districts in the same manner as county service areas form zones pursuant to the County Service Area Law (Chapter 2.5 (commencing with Section 25210) of Part 2 of Division 2 of Title 3 of the Government Code). An improvement district formed by the district shall have all of the powers and duties of a zone formed pursuant to the County Service Area Law. (b) The application of, and the terms used in, those provisions have the following meanings: (1) âBoard of supervisorsâ means the board of directors of the district. (2) âCounty service areaâ means an improvement district. (3) âCounty servicesâ means district services. (4) âCounty Service Area No. ____â means âImprovement District No. ____.â (5) âChapterâ means section. (6) âServicesâ means services the district may perform. (7) âCounty taxesâ means district assessments. (8) âCounty treasurerâ means the district treasurer.
