(a) Unless the context otherwise requires, the following definitions govern the construction of this article: (1) âBasinâ has the same meaning as defined in Section 10721. (2) âGroundwater sustainability agencyâ has the same meaning as defined in Section 10721. (3) âLocal agencyâ has the same meaning as defined in Section 10721. (b) This article shall not apply to diversions within the groundwater basins identified in paragraph (24) of subdivision (a) of, or subdivision (c) of, Section 10720.8.
