For purposes of Sections 10609.6 and 10609.8, âprinciples of the model water efficient landscape ordinanceâ means those provisions of the model water efficient landscape ordinance applicable to the establishment or determination of the amount of water necessary to efficiently irrigate both new and existing landscapes. These provisions include, but are not limited to, all of the following: (a) Evapotranspiration adjustment factors, as applicable. (b) Landscape area. (c) Maximum applied water allowance. (d) Reference evapotranspiration. (e) Special landscape areas, including provisions governing evapotranspiration adjustment factors for different types of water used for irrigating the landscape.
