In addition to any other fees specified in this code, a fee sufficient to cover the departmentâs costs for the inspections performed pursuant to Section 5505 shall be charged to register a vehicle which has been declared a total loss salvage vehicle pursuant to Section 11515 or which has been reported to have been dismantled pursuant to Section 5500 or 11520.
