Upon updating the California Driverâs Handbook, the department shall include at least one question in any of the noncommercial driverâs license examinations, as administered under Section 12804.9, of an applicantâs knowledge and understanding of this code, to verify that the applicant has an understanding of the risks and punishments associated with eluding a pursuing officerâs motor vehicle.
